Turto Bankas is the first and only controller of centralised state-owned administrative real estate, responsible for approximately 700,000 sq. m of state-owned administrative areas (offices). Turto Bankas controls the state-owned real estate on the right of trust and is one of around two hundred controllers of the state-owned property. The goal of Turto Bankas is to make this administrative property portfolio, which is being centrally controlled, as effective as possible in the context of energy and area use. Thus, gradually, the state-owned property is updated and modernised. This way, the working conditions for the employees of the public sector and the quality of services being provided to the citizens is improved. The provision of daily building and services maintenance is also ensured.
Turto Bankas also participates in the adoption of decisions regarding the takeover of the state-owned property being controlled by others to control it centrally or deem it no longer necessary, deals with the sale of state-owned property, and represents the state in cases of property inheritance or gifting for the benefit of the state.
